My name is Debora Bernhard and I was born on the 24th of March 1973 in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. I am blessed with a natural talent for drawing. As a child I was fascinated by the magic of color on paper and I was fortunate to have my father as a great inspirator and teacher. Most paintings are a mix between fantasy and reality. In 1993 I got my first assignment at that time I worked with chalk pastel. From 1997 I started with watercolor painting and since 2004 I use acrylics. My photography speaks for itself. The photos on this site are not in original format to prevent piracy. In shop you can find greeting cards which I made with images of my paintings, photography or my own digital design. In 2011 I was asked to create illustrations for a book (genre psychology) which will be published in early 2012. For me a new challenge. The author and publisher were very excited about some drawings from me, but ultimately they decided to keep the book very simple and illustrations is what then doesn't fit. This new direction I've been took, I'll be definitly go through with it to develop in the further future besides painting. Ik ben geboren op 24 maart 1973 in Apeldoorn. Ik ben gezegend met een natuurlijk talent voor tekenen. Als kind al was ik gefascineerd door de magie van kleur op papier. Ik prijs mij gelukkig om mijn vader als grote inspirator en leraar te hebben. Als u meer over mij persoonlijk wilt weten, klik dan op "some other things" en zie het overzicht van elk jaar van mijn leven. Deze site toont een selectie van mijn kunstwerken. De meeste schilderijen zijn een mix tussen fantasie en werkelijkheid. In 1993 kreeg ik mijn eerste opdracht toen werkte ik nog met pastelkrijt. Mijn fotografie spreekt voor zichzelf. De foto's op deze site zijn niet in het originele formaat om downloaden, kopiëren en/of verspreiden te voorkomen. In e-shop vindt u wenskaarten die ik met afbeeldingen van mijn schilderijen, foto's of zelfontworpen digitale bestanden heb gemaakt. In 2011 ben ik gevraagd voor het maken van illustraties voor een boek (genre psychologie), die begin 2012 gepubliceerd zal worden. Voor mij een nieuwe uitdaging. De schrijfster en uitgever waren erg enthousiast over enkele opzetjes van mij, maar uiteindelijk is besloten het boek rustig te houden en daar passen dan geen illustraties in. Deze nieuwe richting die ik ingeslagen ben, wil ik naast het schilderen verder gaan ontwikkelen in de toekomst. Schildercursussen en workshops:
